My husband Eric and I have been married for twelve years. We have one biological son named Brody, who is 7 years old. We are in the process of adopting two more rowdy boys and a sweet girl. For now they will be referred to on my blog as B (10 year old girl), K (8 year old boy), and Bear (3 year old boy.) As soon as adoption is final we will be able to share their sweet faces and names with you. This should be complete within the next three months. Eric and I were not raised around foster children or families. As we experienced the loss of a miscarriage during my first pregnancy, we started discussing adoption. We didn't know what that would look like for us though. When Brody was 5 years old we were ready for more children, but knew pregnancy for me wasn't the plan. So here we are today fostering to adopt children from the CPS system! We have had three other foster placements in our home besides the three we have now. We have some crazy, amazing stories. Some sad, some happy, and some are just miracles only God could have worked out. Our journey with foster children isn't over. We don't know exactly what the future will hold, but we know the need for foster/adoptive parents is so great. We can't stop now! This blog is going to be real. Our goal is to help other families who are considering fostering, connect with parents in general who struggle at times with the daily grind, and ultimately share how amazing our God really is. We are constantly Loving on Borrowed Time.
